01Embracing two fields of work
Achenbach Hagemeier, the contemporary art gallery with locations in Düsseldorf and Berlin, represents artists like Chris Succo, Jan Pleitner, and Silke Albrecht, while also dealing with established positions such as Per Kirkeby and Günther Förg. The gallery’s program focuses on multidisciplinary, concept-driven approaches across painting, sculpture, and photography.
The visual identity embraces this duality with a new wordmark, where finely tuned typography equalises the length of both founders’ names. The wordmark can transform into a minimalist graphic version – two minimalist black bars – that adds a playful, almost disruptive touch. The website reflects this concept: It balances structured, factual clarity with the freedom of instinctive discovery.
