The 2021 Porsche Annual and Sustainability Report was the sixth publication Meiré und Meiré designed for Porsche. A relationship built on trust, precision, and an intimate understanding of what the brand demands. The previous four reports had been shaped by Katharina Netz, and having worked alongside her on them in some years, I took on the creative lead for this edition, carrying that continuity forward.
Financial reporting operates within fixed parameters and finding the creative latitude within them is precisely the discipline. Image selection, information graphics, material choices, editorial rhythm: each one a considered call, carefully coordinated across a thorough approval process.
The report revolves around the leitmotif of Responsibility, reflecting Porsche's understanding that economic, ecological and social dimensions of sustainability are inseparable. The cover features an iconic close-up of the Porsche Mission R. The wrapper is made from G.F Smith Extract Paper with the Porsche logo subtly lasered into the unprinted surface. A tactile object that makes the argument before anyone reads a word.
